Platform Dependency
Platform dependency refers to the dependence on a platform for a certain thing, for example an Xbox 360 game is platform dependent because it will not work on or in any other platform, therefore they are platform dependent. An example of something that would seem not platform dependent would be Fable (original, on the Xbox (the first one)) (hear me out) (it works on the original xbox as well as the Xbox 360, therefore it works on multiple platforms) totally platform independent right?...Right guys? WRONG. Oh my god you are so wrong. Y'see the actual meaning of something that is platform dependent, is something that can only work on one operating system or OS, this Fable example is using the same OS both times, it is Xbox dependent, whether that be Xbox (original) or Xbox 360. Boom. So the definition of something that is platform independent would be something that works on multiple operating systems, I personally don't think this exists... to find something that is platform independent would be like finding Jesus riding a unicorn to me. It would be special.
